Second Day of Classes
Hi all,
I have to make this quick too. As I hope all of you know, I've made it safely down to Athens, Georiga. After a week of getting settled, a week of orientation (including a kayaking trip!), and two days of classes, I'm excited to report that I'm loving this town and my program so far. The incoming Masters of Landscape Architecture (MLA) class is the biggest ever at 18 students - and we all are getting along beautifully to this point. Everyone is coming from a different background (we have architects, landscape designers, businessmen/women, environmental educators, and bakers just to name a few). The faculty has done a thorough job of scarring all of us so far...hopefully in a healthy way. We already have a few projects assigned, and I'm off to meet with a classmate to start brainstorming some ideas. My assistanship starts on Thursday where I'll be working on a project under the supervision of a professor and the director of the LA library...I hope to know more later this week.
Hope everyone is well! I'll drop a few more lines when I get a chance.
